Leah and I met in college at the University of Pittsburgh in the spring of 2013. It happened to be my graduation weekend. We met through mutual friends at the college bar Hemingway’s Cafe. Upon the first moment of meeting Leah, I was determined to obtain her phone number, which I succeeded at later that night. During that summer and fall, we began to talk to each other more and began dating with our first date being a romantic basketball shootout at the PITT gym. We love to travel together, be foodies, and try new sports and activities together. After many years of dating, traveling together, and buying a home together, I planned a pretty big surprise for Leah in March of 2019. I purchased plane tickets, booked a hotel, made multiple dinner reservations for an extended weekend trip to Charleston, South Carolina. As we typically took a late March trip / vacation, Leah was unaware of my sneakiness. After multiple days of leaving work early to go to the jewelers, I designed and purchased the perfect ring. I also began researching photographers in the Charleston, SC area to capture the moment and came across Southern Serenity Photography. After looking at Connie’s photography portfolio in Southern Serenity’s website, I knew that she would be perfect. I proposed to Leah on March 21, 2019 in front of the Pineapple Fountain at Charleston’s Waterfront Park hiding the ring in a sleek wooden engagement ring box tucked into my sock with Connie capturing the moment perfectly. Leah said YES and we enjoyed an exciting weekend eating and drinking our way through Charleston. We are currently planning our wedding in Pittsburgh, PA for 10/10/2020.
